Access to the service will end on November 5, 2026. After that, you will be directed to instead use the MetaHuman Creator that is integrated directly with Unreal Engine 5.6 and up.
The web app will be discontinued in phases, giving you plenty of time to export your MetaHumans.
- April 5, 2026 – You will no longer be able to select Unreal Engine versions 4.27, 5.0, and 5.1. You can still export your characters through Bridge.
- June 5, 2026 – You will no longer be able to select Unreal Engine versions 5.2, 5.3, and 5.4. You can still export your characters through Bridge.
- November 5, 2026 – You will no longer be able to select Unreal Engine version 5.5, and access to the web app will be closed. You will have 90 days to export your MetaHumans. After that, you will no longer be able to download them through Bridge or the MetaHuman Importer in UEFN.
- February 3, 2027 – 90-day grace period ends. Any remaining MetaHumans associated with your account will be deleted.
If you want to retrieve your existing MetaHumans, you need only export them for the appropriate version of Unreal Engine using Bridge. If you want to continue authoring MetaHumans, you'll need to upgrade them to Unreal Engine 5.5 and then migrate them using this guide.
